How you book

Booked online through 'Book Now' or by phone with the Boulder office or a travel advisor. On 2026-09-23 all eight 2027 departures were full with waitlists; ten 2028 departures were open but their prices and dates were marked as not yet confirmed. Medical evacuation insurance is mandatory. The trip starts and ends in Ulaanbaatar and guests arriving on Day 1 must land by 8 am.

Prices are per person, double occupancy, in US dollars. The deposit is $1,500 and non-refundable. Internal air is invoiced separately ($3,987 for 2027) and the 2027 single supplement was $3,295. For private bookings the site gives two rules: the refund policy says a Make It Private booking of a scheduled departure needs double the listed deposit, while the trip page says a 25% deposit confirms a private departure (with a 7% saving for reserving the whole departure).

121 or more days before departure: a fee of at least $200 per person (non-refundable deposits may be higher); 61 to 120 days: 50% of the full trip price including internal air and extensions; 60 days or less: 100%. Cancellations must be made in writing.
