The about page states that Nomadic Road was born in India in 2016 and that its first expedition, in 2017, was Mongolia; the company trades as Nomadic Road LLC-FZ and names a head of Mongolia operations. It claims more than ninety expeditions completed and participants from over sixty countries. Three Mongolia expeditions of 10 to 13 days are published, each run as a Signature edition capped at twelve explorers, with one Toyota Land Cruiser 200 or similar per two explorers and an expedition leader, filmmaker, mechanics and field chef travelling with the group. Prices are per person and published in US dollars, with separate twin and solo rates.

How you book

Each expedition page lists dated editions with their booking state, and a separate custom-expeditions page is published for private groups. Rates are per person and differ for twin, where two explorers share a vehicle, and solo, where the explorer has the vehicle to themselves. The site noted that the 2027 calendar was still being completed when checked on 2026-09-22.

A 25% deposit confirms a booking and the balance is due 90 days before departure; non-payment by that date may cancel the booking without refund. Payment is by credit card through the company's payment platform or by wire transfer.

Published refunds are 100% at 90 days or more before departure, 85% at 75-89 days, 50% at 60-74 days and nothing inside 60 days or with no notice. Refunds are made by the original payment method within 15 business days less an administration fee covering bank and card charges; alternatively the company may offer a travel credit usable within one year.
