How you book

Customers book through the tour page or by phoning the Austin office. Because this tour is marked "Reserve Now — Pricing Coming Soon", a place is held by paying the initial deposit. Once the price is set, reservation holders get five business days to accept it and move to the normal payment schedule, or to cancel for a full refund of the deposit. The FAQ says VENT group sizes range from 6 to 12, with no more than 7 participants per tour leader. Tours outside the lower 48 US states are confirmed by the final-payment date. Travel insurance that covers emergency evacuation is required for this tour.

The initial deposit is $1,000 per person. At 180 days before departure VENT collects a second deposit that brings the total deposit to 40% of the tour price. Full payment is due 120 days before departure (21 February 2027 for this tour). Payment is by Visa or MasterCard; check, money order and bank transfer are also accepted. Prices are in US dollars and may carry exchange-rate or fuel surcharges.

If the participant cancels more than 120 days before the start date, VENT refunds everything paid except 50% of the total deposit (initial plus second deposit). No refund is given at 120 days or less. If VENT cancels a tour without cause, it gives a full refund. The policy does not cover air tickets or extra arrangements booked through VENT.

Licence and membership

No licence number is published on the site. The itinerary PDF gives California seller-of-travel number CST #2014998-50, says the business has a $50,000 bond issued by Travelers, and says VENT does not take part in the California Travel Consumer Restitution Fund. The responsibility statement names the company as Victor Emanuel Nature Tours, Inc., a Texas corporation.
